The challenge
The system had to replace ad-hoc tools for sensitive lifecycle data while adding AI flows that never created shadow versions of someone's career record. Long-running document and notification work could not block the admin UI, and compliance-facing paths had to stay auditable.
Our approach
We modeled training, interviews, documents, payments, and career history as a single canonical timeline per employee. AI flows for summaries, document triage, and communications ran through the same APIs as human actions, with human-in-the-loop patterns wherever money or verifications were involved. Bull workers handled file processing and notifications without touching the request thread.
